My
Story
Get to Know Kristin
Professional talker
50+ years of experience. Thanks for listening! I have exercised my reading voice as both a special education teacher and a parent. Audio books have been an important part of maintaining my sanity during my years as CEO of the household, folding laundry, cooking, and cleaning. Of late, as the nest has become emptier, I paint in acrylic and watercolor while listening to audiobooks. My dogs have developed a cockney accent from listening along with me.
Acting and Producing
I was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz eons ago in middle school. Other than that, I’ve been acting like a grownup for years now. I have produced four children and a few catastrophes in my years as a grownup and am happy to be now funneling those production skills into my home studio and narrating work.
Awards and Recognition
Teacher of the Year, not totally relevant, but I’m proud just the same.
Studio
I have a home studio (closet) equipped with a RØDE microphone and boom, an iD4 Audient audio interface and use Audition, Izotope, and a few other choice plugins, to deliver a smooth, polished sound. I produce fully edited files, ready to meet industry standards, for your projects.
My Favorites
I delight in acting out fictional stories for kids and adults, but am equally invested in producing nonfiction, e-learning, IVR, and video game character voices, along with other voiceover material, such as commercials.
Nonprofit
If there is anything I can do for a nonprofit cause, please contact me and we can discuss options. I volunteer on LibriVox.org.
